Current News & Updates + 2 first ever Intl. Exhibitions in Sweden & Argentina
Over the last two (hectic!) months since my last post, I had been working a lot on the Equestrian events and weddings that I had on over the time including my first ever Western Riding Event, which had really opened my eyes of the equestrian life and styles. Also learnt some sad news that a few months ago, I said that this month of October was going to be a big month for me to have my first ever solo exhibition, sadly it isn’t going ahead due to the gallery that the exhibition were going to be held at has closed down permanently. I shall look for a new venue and will update more details of the next solo exhibition.
However… There is good news..
Four weeks ago, I had received an e-mail to let me know that one of my new images of 2013 that is an image that I took of the Humber Bridge has been accepted into an exhibition being held over the 12th & 13th September in Malmo, Sweden. Will put this image up soon on here.
At the same, I had some unexpected news that I had won an artist’s award at an exhibition at my hometown of Brigg. I entered the first ever Open Artist exhibition at The Steel Rooms which is a cafe and gift shop with an art gallery that has opened last year (2012). Whilst I was working at the AQHA National Championships in September I get a phone call from the Steel Rooms to to tell me that all three of my works are in the exhibition and a surprise bonus of winning an Award! I nearly fainted at the AQHA event with the news! The opening of the exhibition on 5th October 2013 was a huge success and the works that are in the exhibition is outstanding! The exhibition runs until end of November. Please do see www.thesteelrooms.com for more information and about the exhibition.
Then… Only a few days after the Steel Rooms opening of the exhibition, I suddenly get told that some of my work is to be exhibited for the first ever time in Argentina, South America! Not just a new Country, but a new Continent too just like Japan was back in April. The Argentine exhibition starts beginning of November 2013 for one month. More details soon on the exhibition.
